About Us

The Now Foundation Limited was created due mostly to the passion and commitment of our Chairman, Mr. Graham Doessel.

Mr. Doessel has spent many years helping every day Mums and Dads in Australia and New Zealand through his many business ventures and the idea of The Now Foundation came to mind after the sponsorship of a Christmas Appeal in 2005.

During the research and development and formulation stages of the creation of The Now Foundation, Mr Doessel was struck down with Cancer.

The day after the news that he had cancer, Mr Doessel went looking for information specific to Mens Cancers and came up short every time.

Mr Doessel visited several chemists in his local area initially looking for information on Testicular Cancer and after he realised there was no Mens Cancer information of any kind he then began investigating what health information there is available to men in general..

Again, the results were dissapointing to say the least.
There is almost no freely available, reliable information about mens health issues and Mr Doessel and The Now Foundation beleive that this could directly contribute to the unnecessary death of too many Fathers, Brothers, Husbands and Sons

The strain on immediate and extended families is compounded by the serious lack of information and awareness of prevention methods available, if only blokes knew where to look..

The Now Foundation Limited became a registered charity on the 7th of December 2009 after 3 years and 10 months of work to get all of the required requirements met both on a moral and legal basis.
